Hey Amigo's........

Good morning.....hope you all had a good Easter break. Hubby is finally back from his trip to Europe, and kiddies are back at school, which means I can finally get some crafting (and blogging) done!

I'm posting a card today, which I hope is making it's way across the pond to my brother, who's Birthday was........well let's just say I'm (un)fashionably late (as usual!). The image I've used makes me smile - no particular reason, just one of those things. So here's 'Mexico Phil'............

The inside reads.........'Go easy on the tequila my friend!'

So another reason I like this image is that it was e freebie from Just Inklined Stamps, gotta love that.

Phil is coloured with Copic markers and papers are from the Prima 'Paisley Road' 6"x6" pad.....I knew I'd find a use for that extremely loud zig zag paper some day. I added a Nestie 'sun' look-a-like, a Martha Stewart border punch and some ribbon, which was also a freebie from Scrapfest.

Yep.....that is one bright and very loud card!

Have a great day

Happy Hunting.........

Hi there. I'm back with another Easter card today and there's a boy on it.........are you impressed?

Yep, another cute image from By LORI Designs, persuaded me to colour up the male variety of digi. Here's Puddle Jumper Landon............

There are actually two digi's on here - I added the 'egg basket' to create an Easter type of card.

Landon is coloured with Copic markers and papers, which I embossed, are from the My Minds Eye (Stella & Rose) 6"x6" paper pad. Some baker's twine, brads and a homemade 'Word' sentiment finish the job.

That's it from me for today........I really need to get some images (which are coloured and sitting neglected on my desk!) on to cards, then I may have something else to show you. I've been trying to get a little 'scrapping' done.......I actually managed a 'double' LO last week........pretty unusual for me......so unfortunately, cards have taken a back seat.

Have a happy, creative day......looks like we'll have to create our own sunshine in this weather!

Life is a mystery..........

Good morning. I'm being a well behaved 'blogger' at the moment, by putting in my second appearance this week! A card of course, but a card with no image! Wow.....unusual for me, and I bet you can hardly stand the suspense of what it looks like ( hee hee!), so here it is............

A little vintage.....Victorian maybe? I have no clue, my History was never that good, but it looks pretty so who cares!

I created this card a little while ago, for a fun challenge over on the Two Scrapbook Friends forum called '5 for 5'. Head on over there if you feel like checking it out as they have one each month. Basically, when the challenge is posted, the first 5 people to sign up, will be sent 5 mystery items with which to create a masterpiece, and post on a certain date. Then everyone gets to see the awesome variety of projects people produce, using the same 5 things.

The 5 items for this card were:

A length of green ribbon

A die cut key

An unfinished chipboard swirl

2 pearl embellishments

A small piece of patterned paper

I added the doily, button, floss, accordion heart and stitching, then made up a sentiment to finish. It was fun and I'm pretty pleased with the result.

Have a happy day, and who knows, you may see me again this week...........maybe!

April Showers......

I figure the title is pretty apt. today! 18 degrees outside and rain boots required........I'll take the rain if I can keep the temperature! So let's embrace the theme and get to a card. Another sweet Puddle Jumper image today, from By LORI Designs. Here's Ella's Umbrella............

Couldn't resist adding that cute 'rain boot' paper.

I'll share a little story with you about this image........a conversation I had with my youngest daughter, which of course made me smile, they usually do! I must have subconsciously coloured Ella, with some striking resemblances to her, because when I'd finished, they really did look alike. So I said to her "Oh my goodness......this could be you, she looks just like you". After she'd studied it for a moment, she said " No.........I don't have a frog!" The joy of 4 year old wisdom.........keeps me sane...........when it's not driving me insane! LOL

So Ella is coloured with Copic's and papers are from 3 Bugs In A Rug. I kept things fairly simple by adding a 'Nestie', some white satin ribbon and a stick pin, but I did add a fair bit of Glossy Accents to the puddle and the polka dots on the umbrella.

Sweet!

Have a great day and I'll see you later in the week

Did someone say 'Blog Hop'?

It's one of those exciting days today.......a new release of digi's from by LORI Designs, and you know what that means.............a Blog Hop!

Yep, you get to cruise around blogland, taking in all the yummy 'Lollipop' goodness, and if you feel like leaving some awfully sweet comments along the way, you're in with a chance of winning a $10 gift certificate to spend on more sweetness over at the Lollipop Shop! I'll post a hop list of my fellow lovely ladies in a moment, but first, let's get to the important stuff.....a card!

Another sweetie for me to colour up this time. As much as I love the male variety of Lori Boyd creations, the girlie's always seem to win me over. Here's Puddle Jumper Shelby.........

I'm now realizing how very bright this card is, so put it down to a subconscious need for 'sunshine' around here!

Shelby is coloured with........you will never guess! I almost typed 'Copic's then and had to stop myself. I'll start again......Shelby is coloured with Promarkers! Let me just say, I have great in-laws (yep I'm one of those who has good ones!), who very kindly sent me a set, all the way across the pond, for me to play with. Couldn't get much better than that huh?

Papers today are from the new Bo Bunny line, which is just bright enough to wake you up in a morning.

OK, let's get to the list. Remember, to qualify for a chance to win the gift certificate, you have to leave a comment at each blog. If you're joining me from the super talented 'Jane's' blog, you're on the right track and need to head over to the lovely Jen. If you're just dropping in by chance.....welcome......stay a while, but you might want to head back to Angela, and start hopping!

15 minutes of fame!

OK, was it Andy Warhole who said everyone in the world will get 15 minutes of fame?

Well, I'm super excited today, as my favourite local scrapbook store, Two Scrapbook Friends, asked me a while ago, if I would be their Guest Designer for April.......awesome, the chance to play with more yummy product!

So, today's the day, and I'm not one for 'blowing my own trumpet', so to speak, but for once, I will be trying to maximize my 15 mins..........or at least get a couple, so here's the link.

Thank you so much to Carolyn and Joanne.......always a pleasure spending monies in your store......no effort required at all!

Have a great day......I'm planning to!

A friendship flower..........

Hi there.......just skipping in and out today with a fairly quick creation. This card was actually made for a super fun St. Paddy's Day Challenge over on the 'Two Scrapbook Friends' forum. The idea was to pick from a list of Irish related items, which were later translated into scrappy/craft products that you would have to include on your creation. A recipe challenge! My list included: Green Patterned Paper, Foam, Glimmer Mist, Lace and a charm. So, with these things in mind, here's what I ended up with............

First time I've tried one of these tissue paper flowers on a card......it took me back to JK days!

Now, I promised I would be mentioning you today.......yes YOU my scrappy friend Dee! I know exactly what you are thinking right now........this card is totally 'un'mailable......is that a word? lol

But you are right.....I agree. The flower stands out approx 3/4" so unless I feel inclined to create a box type of envelope (not!), it will be kept as the handing over in person type of thing.

So let's save our postage pennies Dee, but I must admit, it was fun to make!

Papers are from one of the new Jillibean Soup lines, by the way, and that's about it from me.

Skipping out and have a great day

Springtime........I hope!

Nope, this is no April Fool........I am really here, on my blog! Has it really been a week since my last post? Yet again I'm wondering where the days went. Anyhow, I am really seriously willing Spring to arrive, as I'm really tired of the persistent dregs of snow still loitering. To help things along I have a yummy card for you, using as always, a superbly cute image by Lori Boyd, which you can find over at the Lollipop Shop. Full of the joys of Spring, here's Puddle Jumper Tabitha.......... Suhweet! I've coloured again with Copic's, and papers are from a 6"x6" My Minds Eye (Stella and Rose) pad. A touch of ribbon, a button and some baker's twine, and we're done! I'll be back later with some challenge hopefuls, but for now, have a very 'Springlike' day! Jayne.x.
